This N73 handset has a faint whiff of the Orange Smartphone about it, although with a 3.2mp camera that includes a Carl Zeiss lens, this phone has a bit more to brag about on the multimedia front. There's
also some integrated stereo speakers with 3D sound for playing back your
music, along with 42MB internal memory, which can be expanded via
miniSD.
It's got a large screen for viewing all your favourite work documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF files are all covered - joy of joys) and you also get Bluetooth and Infrared. Coming your way in July 2006.
Meanwhile, more N-Series action has been occuring in the form of the the N93 camcorder phone. It looks like it's smaller than the gargantuan N90 camcorder phone (certainly hope so - that thing was a BEAST) and has an improved 3.2mp camera (with Carl Zeiss's optics making another guest appearance). The sharper readers among you will already have worked out that the big selling point of the Nokia N93 is video recording (it was the "camcorder" bit that gave it away, right?) and it offers DVD-like video capture at 30 frames per second, plus 3x optical zoom with video stabilisation and high definition display. You can even connect it directly to your TV for widescreen playback.
It also comes bundled with the N-Gage game System Rush: Evolution, plus it's got WiFi and 3G, 50MB of memory and a miniSD card slot. Should also be here in July.
