We keep seeing these things appearing, but the mere fact that the television industry is alive and well suggests that screen glasses have got a long way to go before we're all sporting a pair. These MPGlass 230M specs are designed to plug into your DVD player or games console (or VCR if you're all retro), providing wearers with what appears to be a 30-inch screen viewed from 2 metres away. Oh and stereo sound too, if you plug in the ear bits. They're available right now for the princely sum of £300, though I'd suggest that if you don't want to disturb your other half with your TV viewing habits, you get a pair of nice comfy headphones with a long lead and plug them into your television. Peace-keeping TV viewing at a fraction of the cost.
