Antec's nifty little desk fan is powered by USB and looks all pretty and lit-up-like while blowing the sweat away from your hard-working forehead. Alternatively it might be good for drying nail-varnish. Or doing that sexy windblown effect for the benefit of that guy you really fancy on the other side of your cube.
I've found it for just over a tenner at ebuyer.
I am acquainted with a ton of geeky people who have already done something like this (I nearly did myself on a hot day but my leads weren't long enough, *coughsadcough*). It appears to be your common-or-garden 80mm computer fan, often found on case walls or over CPUs, just wrenched out of the case and connected to a USB lead instead of a molex thingummy. All the same, I guess it does the job! Also handy for blowing away noxious vapours from flux when soldering. True story. [Sara Wallen]
