Spamcube to the Rescue!

I don't know about you, but I tried everything in my power to stop spam, from blocking emails from certain servers, sending fake "non-existent email" bounces back to spammers, to trying to 'teach' my email client what spam looks like, so it can pick the right ones to block out.I always found that my bounces got re-bounced, too many of the emails I wanted got trapped, and too much of the spam got through! Typical. I have to admit, the best filtering I've experienced so far has got to be that of GMail/Google Mail.

However, for those happy with their current email addresses who feel harrassed by spam, this little cube (it's very small, only a few inches high) can be plugged in between your computer and the internet (or your network and the internet for up to 4 PCs). It will add a flag in the subject line of all emails it thinks is either spam, phishing (fake emails from banks, Paypal or eBay, etc. asking for your details), or containing a virus (which it will remove from the email for you) - so you can tell Outlook or any other mail client where it can stuff them! I'm an experienced spam filter user. I used to use SpamInspector, used SpamArrest to add a challenge email step to one of my accounts...

Recently I discovered another filter at www.spambully.com. I have downloaded trial, and love it! SpamBully does it all - I have even been able to delete all of my old, manually entered spam-filtering rules - the Bayesian wizard is phenominal out-of-the-box!

Also it beats Mail Washer Pro and McAfee SpamKiller hands down (I have tried full versions of both products). The configurable interface (Toolbar) is great too. Spam Bully's fully integrated solution allows me to handle all my emails in one place.

After trying numerous spam filters, I learned that only Bayesian filters works best. Their filtering results are excellent and don't need much administration on users' side.

I'm glad someone has had luck with the Spam Cube. I ordered one earlier this year and after 6 months it still hadn't shipped, then it took another month to get a refund. Might be a great product, but the customer service isn't.
