Finally, some tool-makers have realised that while we may not buy quite as many tools as the men-folk do, it's not necessarily because we want them to be pink, purple or fluffy.
Tomboy Tools pride themselves on providing "quality tools that are chosen for ergonomic features and being well sized for women." Truly a noble cause. I'm sick of cheap Leatherman knock-offs that pinch your palms if you even attempt to add pressure to them. And I'm not sure I could trust a pink hammer not to fly off the handle (taking my temper with it).
On the left is their Super Stepper tool box with everything you need to put up that lovely set of shelving you got from IKEA. Unfortunately they don't launch in the UK until April, but the launch itself looks like a good opportunity to get your hands on some freebies! [Sara Wallen]
