It's not entirely clear why LG has felt the need to market this one specifically at the boys. Presumably, it's because they think lads are more likely to want one of these for their bachelor pads. The press info is pitching the SXS Titanium TV Side-by-Side refrigerator
as the perfect product for boys during World Cup season, so that footie fanatics don't have to miss a single goal while they fetch more beer from the fridge.
But I reckon girls and boys alike could find a use for this TV. Cookalongs to Saturday Kitchen, perhaps? Or keeping up with Corrie while bubbling something on the cooker?
It features an integrated touch screen 15" remote controlled LCD display with TV, DVD, cable and radio connectivity. The fridge itself offers instant ice-cold filtered water, crushed ice or ice cubes at a touch of a button, a wine rack, pizza tray and can server (nice touch), plus LG's Bio-shield technology, which fights bacteria, keeping food fresher for longer.
Cheaper than the Electrolux Screenfridge, but still likely to leave an ache in your wallet at £2,500. It'll be ready in time for the World Cup.
