The long-rumoured Nintendo DS redesign has finally been announced today and it's amazing the effect that appearances can have. I can almost guarantee that had the DS looked like this the first time round, wouldn't have had have had such a luke-warm reception. Already all my geeky pals on the forums are enthusiastic about owning one.
I must admit it's easier to warm to a sleek white shiny thing (I - and the rest of the western world - must have iPods on the brain) than it is a chunky silver beast (which I'm told is actually quite heavy for a hand-held) like the original DS. Bring on the Nintendogs! [Sara Wallen]
