Even the sun needs a holiday every once in a while, but unfortunately its extended absence can affect the moods of some people pretty severely; not unlike when your assistant goes on vacation leaving you painfully aware that you don't know where anything is. And whereas you can't ring up the temp agency for a fill-in for the sun, sufferers of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) can put a Bodyclock in their bedrooms and be cheered by simulated sunrise and sunset. Outside In offers three Bodyclock options, with various features including a radio (pictured left), controllable sunrise/sunset duration, nightlight and security light. According to the product page, this helps improve the mood of those suffering from SAD by providing them with a more natural sleep pattern in the darker months...but I can't help but wonder if the idea of being able to pretend that the sun is subject to your individual will might not make you a bit chuffed as well. -[Star C.
