Parachuting Snowman
So December has finally hit. Try telling that to the retail and music industries which have been hawking their Christmas wares since the middle of October, leaving me entombed in an ice cold rage and harbouring general feelings of ill will towards my fellow human beings. But then I see crap like this and I perk right up. I mean, who couldn't help but get excited at the prospect of a Snowman. Who parachutes.
Presumably taking his cue from Aled Jones's festive flying companion, this snowman has evidently decided that parachuting is a perfectly respectably pastime for any frozen creation. Using nothing more than a bit of wire and a jockey's hat, the Snowman not only parachutes and plays irritating Christmas tunes, he also kicks his legs. And that's not even the best of it.
The icing on the Christmas cake is the fact that he appears to have been knitted by my late Grandmother. Every year we greeted her efforts with a look of barely-concealed disappointment, the entirely unconcealed disappointment making an appearance when the thermal undies were unveiled. Ah, what I wouldn't give now for some thermal undies...
