Bandai 'Bot

Bandia_bot I know two things about robots: (1) Someday, they'll perform all our menial, time consuming tasks; leaving us free to actively pursue leisure and (2) Not long after that, they'll develop sentience, rise up and strike Man down (who will have grown fat and lazy due to years of leisure) and force us to do their will. I assure you that as much as I fear the second part, I really can't wait for the first bit (housework being the complete and utter drag that it is).  Enter Bandai's new Swiffer Robot, the BN-17 (IREX 2005); it will clean your floors, check your email, and watch out for intruders.  And a robot with such an unbelivably adorable, egg-like visage couldn't possibly be the one to enslave us in our sleep.  (Right?) - [Star C. Foster]
