This machine may look like it's coming for your boobs with its little plastic hands out and that's because it is. It's a new product called the Halo Breast Papanicolaou (Pap) test system that identifies breast disease. It works by collecting nipple aspirate fluid (hands up who knew about that one? News to me), gently warming the breast and applying a mild compression to tease the liquid from the ducts. The collected fluid can be then be analysed for to check for normal, premalignant, and malignant cells. It's all very interesting stuff, and you can read all about it here.
