Like any self-respecting freelancer, I spend a lot of my time seeking out displacement activities to distract me from my work. Activities such as teeth flossing, eyebrow plucking and shoe sorting suddenly take on a huge degree of importance when there's paid work to be done. But top of the list has to be walking to fridge, opening fridge, staring in fridge and idly picking at a piece of cheese/cake/pie (delete as applicable).
