Takara Toys has made the interactive digital pet even more saccharine by making the outside as cute as the game inside, giving it the ability to teach vocabulary, and even hold its own stylus.
I think that this new, cuddly exterior will make users feel infinitely more guilty when these digital pets "die" than they did when their orginal Tamagotchis gave up the ghost. (And I don't know about you, but I felt pretty darn bad.) [Star C. Foster]
