Mobies for Ladies

Cl75_3Today Siemens are launching the CL75 phone, and with Katie off discovering its 'je ne sais quoi' at the launch in Paris (I knew I had the wrong job...), it's up to me to tell you all about it. This is the first mobile designed by women for women. And apparently what we ladies are looking for in our moby is 'soft, smooth contours and a "Silk Flower" motif.' We also get a digital still / video camera, 11mb of memory, push & talk technology, instant messaging and (most importantly) a huge colour display which doubles as a mirror. Oh, and a perfume...

That's right. A perfume. To celebrate the launch of the phone, Siemens have teamed up with posh perfumerie Roja Dove to create the CL75 scent, a fragrance inspired by the handset. And what does a girly clamshell smell like? Lemon oil, lavender, sandalwood, geranium and camomile, according to the fragrance experts.

The CL75 will launch in the UK this Summer. Once Katie gets back from scoffing croissants and drinking red wine, you'll get the full review of the phone (and the perfume too, if you're lucky).

[Update: Read all about my super time in Paris entirely out of my depth with the women's press here. Plus, fans of the SL55 are apparently going to be very happy in Autumn. Read]
