Smallest 3G phone so far

O2_x4_tiltedjpg_final_1I must admit to not being too overwhelmed by the current crop of 3G phones. They're big and bulky, have pants battery life and are about as sexy as Dean Gaffney look-a-likey competition. We might however be tempted to take a peek at the debut 3G mobile from O2. The X4 is smaller and lighter than the average 3G Behemoth, has a reasonable battery life and, get this, has no video calling facilities. So you can check out all those slightly naff music vids safe in the knowledge that your oh-so-glamorous best friends can't interrupt you by peering at your less than perfect visage through their mobiles.

The phone also boasts a 1.3 mega pixel camera, which we really hope is better than the one on the X3, features a neat 262k colour screen, MP3 player and is compatible with WAP and Java. There's 10MB of storage on board, though this can be upgraded via a memory card. Curiously, there's no Bluetooth so we suspect you won't be able to use it as a modem for a laptop PC. It is on sale now from free. Sheroo Crosby
