Rex talks drugs
The drugs do work, but only if you take them right. If you find it hard enough to remember to pop a baby-avoiding pill every day, just imagine what it's like to take four or more prescription drugs each day, each with a different prescribed dosage, quantity or frequency. This is commonly the case for people with health problems, and dangerous mistakes can easily happen. MedivoxRx Technologies have found a solution in the shape of Rex The Talking Bottle, a multi-lingual gadget that takes the hassle out of complicated drug regimens. Take Rex along when you pick up your prescription, and the pharmacist inputs all the info about dosages, timings and so on. There's also a Rex Starter Kit if you'd rather input the data yourself using a voice recorder. In the click of a button, Rex delivers a chatty reminder about what you need to take and when. Rex the Talking Bottle currently retails at around $62 (£32). It's a brilliantly simple idea, but one that could save lives. Which is more than can be said for an ostrich leather iPod case...
