Usually, waterproof cameras come in daft Tomy-style plastic cases. Pentax's OptioWP, however, looks very smart indeed with its brushed aluminium finish. Despite the absence of a perspex jacket, the Pentax is waterproof up to a depth of 3 metres. Not quite up to deep sea snapping, but ideal for the casual scuba diver. At 5-megapixels it's pretty powerfully specified as well, with a 3X optical zoom and 10MB or internal memory. What's more, it's not too pricey either, coming in at a very reasonable £300. It should be available in March.
