Intelligent perfume dispenser

PDD_snif_3.JPG

Anyone for intelligent perfume? Brit design company PDD has unveiled the prototype of a scent dispenser you place on your body that works to dispense the right amount of scent to suit the environment you are in guaranteeing that you continue to smell, well, gorgeous.

Essentially SNIF (Sexy New Intelligent Fragrance) monitors the space the user is in and dispenses the correct amount of scent. So for example it keeps the output low in a confined space like a car, but really pumps it out when you are hitting the dance floor.

The company imagines that the product will be picked up and branded by perfume manufacturers.

PDD's Senior Project Manager packaging, Mark Tosey, describes the device as 'ultra-thin for comfort with a hypo-allergenic base material and an electro-textile mesh. The fragrance is controlled by remote evaporation using an ASIC chip, miniature battery and heat elements.'

But the pleasure of perfume is spraying it on. Reminds me too much a birthcontrol!!!

Throw in the ability to have several scents (daytime perfume and nighttime perfume) so I can change as the day turns into night and I'll give that a try!

I have no comments yet... but how does it work. do yo have to perform implant or anything. if this SNIF only has to be place on the skin and visible to your partner, isn't that to insecure?
